General Wellness Information Only

MovingSteady provides general exercise, movement, mobility, balance, flexibility, conditioning, and wellness information. The Service is intended to support general physical activity at home and is not a medical or healthcare service.

Not Medical Advice or Physical Therapy

Content provided by MovingSteady is not medical advice and is not a substitute for evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, or individualized instruction from a physician, physical therapist, occupational therapist, or other qualified healthcare professional.

Use of MovingSteady does not create a physician-patient, physical therapist-patient, or other healthcare professional-patient relationship.

Physical Therapist Review

MovingSteady may have exercise content reviewed by a licensed physical therapist for general safety and appropriateness for an older-adult population. This review is general in nature and is limited to the exercise library as a whole.

The reviewing professional has not examined individual participants, has not reviewed individual medical histories, and does not determine whether a particular exercise is appropriate for any specific participant. The fact that content has been reviewed by a physical therapist does not constitute an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of safety for any individual user.

Consult a Qualified Healthcare Professional When Appropriate

Before beginning or changing an exercise program, users should consult an appropriate healthcare professional when they have questions about their ability to exercise safely, particularly if they have:

- A diagnosed medical condition - A recent injury - Recent surgery - Recent hospitalization - A history of falls - Significant balance concerns - Unexplained pain - Cardiovascular concerns - Other health conditions that may affect exercise

Stop if Symptoms Occur

Users should stop exercising and seek appropriate medical attention if they experience:

- Chest pain - Fainting - Severe dizziness - Unusual shortness of breath - Sudden weakness - A fall or injury - Severe or worsening pain - Another symptom that causes concern

For a medical emergency, call 911 or the applicable local emergency number.

No Real-Time Supervision

MovingSteady is primarily delivered through prerecorded and digital content. MovingSteady does not continuously observe or supervise participants during exercise and cannot identify unsafe surroundings, improper form, changes in a participant’s health, or an emerging medical emergency.

Exercise Environment and Equipment

Participants are responsible for choosing a safe exercise area and using any chair, wall, counter, resistance band, or other equipment appropriately. Equipment should be stable, intact, and appropriate for the activity. Participants should avoid unstable furniture and clear the surrounding area of foreseeable tripping or slipping hazards.

Personalization Is Not a Clinical Assessment

MovingSteady may ask users about general preferences or capabilities, such as whether they prefer seated exercises, can exercise while standing with support, use an assistive device, or wish to avoid certain movements. These answers may be used to organize or suggest content. They are not a medical screening, diagnosis, clinical assessment, or individualized treatment plan.

No Promised Results

MovingSteady does not guarantee that use of the Service will improve mobility, balance, strength, flexibility, pain, independence, fall risk, or any health condition. Outcomes vary by person.

Family and Caregiver Information

Any progress information or activity information shown to a family member, caregiver, or support profile is intended for general informational and encouragement purposes. It is not a clinical status report and should not be used as a substitute for medical monitoring or professional care.

Emergency and Urgent Needs

MovingSteady is not designed to provide emergency response, fall detection, medical monitoring, urgent advice, or communications with emergency services. Users should use appropriate emergency resources when immediate assistance is needed.
